USA Esports believes that every person in the United States who wants to compete, learn, or grow through esports should have a safe, accessible, and supported path to do so. Whether you're a student competing for your high school, a collegiate athlete balancing academics and competition, or an aspiring professional chasing the highest level, there should be a place for you. Our long-term ambition is to build a participation and membership framework that mirrors the best of traditional athletics: one grounded in safety standards, inclusive access, ethical governance, and real opportunity for athletes at every stage of their journey.

We also believe in being honest about where we are today. We're not going to come out of the gate claiming we have membership and participation figured out from day one. The esports ecosystem is unlike any traditional sport insofar as it's global, it's digital, it spans dozens of titles, and it touches communities that have never had a national body looking out for them. That means getting this right matters more than getting it done fast.

Our approach is to listen first and build deliberately. We plan to roll out pilot programs across the K-12 and collegiate spaces—working directly with students, athletes, educators, and organizations already in the trenches—to understand what a membership model needs to look like in order to truly serve the esports community. These pilots will help us learn what works, what doesn't, and how we can develop something that is safe, inclusive, and ethical while also supporting our ability as an organization to do meaningful, lasting good in this space. Every step of this process will be shaped by the people it's meant to serve.
