USA ESPORTS
USA Esports is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) public charity established to serve as an independent, sustainable national body for esports in the United States. Our mission is to support esports athletes in achieving sustained competitive excellence in domestic and international competition, to promote esports in the United States, and to foster a safe, positive environment for athletes, members, and fans.
Under one banner
unifying a fragmented ecosystem
The United States boasts one of the world’s most developed esports markets, yet it lacks a unified, representative body spanning all levels of competition. Many other countries have established national bodies for esports, recognized by their respective governments. Led by a broad coalition of stakeholders including leading professional teams, university presidents and chancellors, tier 1 athletes, and K–12 organizations, USA Esports will work to unite the full pipeline from K–12 through collegiate and professional levels under a shared framework.

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), formed pursuant to the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, oversees the recognition and monitoring of national sport organizing bodies. USA Esports seeks recognition by the USOPC as the body responsible for organizing esports in the United States. Achieving and maintaining such recognition requires a robust compliance and governance structure, including rigorous standards for conflicts of interest, participant safety, athlete involvement in policymaking and governance, dispute resolution, and accountability. These requirements will help ensure that USA Esports remains an independent, trusted organization that serves the public interest.
OUR MISSION

As part of its mission, USA Esports will develop standards for participant safety and competitive integrity, organize and sanction events that comply with these standards, coordinate K–12 and collegiate initiatives, and select and manage U.S. national teams for international competition. Athletes who have competed at the highest levels will be integral to every aspect of the organization. At least one-third of the Board of Directors and all major committees will be composed of athletes, who will shape policies on national team selection, athlete safety, ethics and conflicts of interest, finance, and strategic direction.

Athletes First: Why Athlete Involvement in Governance Is Critical
Every standing committee within USA Esports, from Finance and Audit, to Athlete Selection and High Performance, to Ethics, SafeSport, and Nominating and Elections, is required to have at least one-third athlete representation.
